Kristin McAlpin
Kristin McAlpin, Esq. is a New York medical malpractice attorney with eight years of intensive courtroom and litigation experience. She represents individuals and families in medical negligence cases involving catastrophic injury, permanent disability, and wrongful death.
Before focusing her practice on medical malpractice litigation, Kristin spent years in high-stakes criminal defense practice in New York City and Long Island, where she handled serious felony cases from arraignment through trial. Her background includes litigating matters ranging from misdemeanors to homicide charges, giving her substantial trial experience, motion practice expertise, and command of evidentiary and procedural law. Several of her written decisions on substantive motions have been published. This experience gave Kristin a strong client centered approach to the law.
Kristin applies that same strategic, trial-ready approach to medical malpractice cases, including claims involving surgical errors, delayed diagnosis, failure to treat, birth injuries, hospital liability, and other departures from accepted standards of medical care. She also handles personal injury and intentional tort cases. She conducts rigorous case analysis, works closely with medical experts, and builds evidence-driven claims designed to withstand aggressive defense tactics from hospitals and insurance carriers.
A graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School, Kristin is admitted to practice in New York State Courts, United States Southern District Federal Court and United States Eastern District Court. Her litigation background and courtroom experience position her to advocate effectively for clients harmed by medical negligence.
