Rikki Dascal

Rikki B. Dascal joined The Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Firm as an associate attorney in February 2022. Her practice focuses on litigating medical malpractice and civil rights matters in New York state and federal courts.

Prior to joining the firm, Rikki held two clerkships with the Honorable Saliann Scarpulla: the first clerkship was held in the New York County Commercial Division, Supreme Court of the State of New York; and the second clerkship was held in the Appellate Division, First Judicial Department, Supreme Court of the State of New York.

During law school, Rikki worked as an intern through the Pro Bono Scholar Program with The Legal Aid Society's Housing Help Program in the Bronx, where she assisted in providing legal services to indigent tenants at imminent risk of eviction.

Throughout law school, Rikki interned in the Bet Tzedek Civil Litigation Clinic where she worked on all aspects of a federal class action against a NYC agency for disability discrimination, based on its failure to provide reasonable accommodations to applicants and recipients of the NYC Rent Freeze Program (Pfeffer v NYC Department of Finance, 15-cv-3547).

She was able to continue this work on the class action as a Staff Attorney through the Poverty Justice Solutions Fellowship at JASA / Legal Services for the Elderly.

While at JASA / Legal Services for the Elderly, Rikki also represented low-income, elderly individuals facing eviction and disability discrimination.
