Emma Klein
Emma Klein is a New York and Pennsylvania civil rights and medical malpractice attorney. She represents individuals and families in complex high-stakes cases involving police misconduct, prisoner abuse, and catastrophic medical negligence.
Emma has secured significant results for her clients, including a $2.5 million pre-trial settlement in a delayed diagnosis of breast cancer case involving 31-year-old woman who eventually developed stage 4 cancer, and a $875,000 settlement in the middle of trial involving a lung cancer diagnosis which was negligently delayed.
In addition to obtaining substantial settlements, Emma has represented clients at all stages of litigation, from depositions, summary judgement, and up to and including a trial. She has successfully won a summary judgement motion and has extensive experience conducting depositions of parties.
Prior to joining the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Firm, Emma graduated from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law School magna cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif for graduating at the top 10% of her class. She was given the Dorothy Day Award for her commitment to pro bono work. During law school she interned for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Education, in the Office of Civil Rights investigating complaints of gender, race, sex, religious, and disability discrimination in schools and the workplace under Title VI and Title VII respectively. Emma also interned with the Civil Justice Clinic, representing domestic violence victims in their family court proceedings.
Emma is passionate about advocating for her clients, and ensuring the institutions and the individuals we place the most trust are accountable for their wrongdoing.
