Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm Attorney Neal Bhushan Teaches At Cuny Law School

On October 30, 2018, attorney Neal Bhushan gave a lecture to third-year law students enrolled in the City University of New York (“CUNY”) School of Law - Health Law Practice Clinic about what it is like to be a medical malpractice lawyer, and recent changes in the underlying laws. The students were delighted to hear from Neal, CUNY alumni, who first came to the Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm as part of the school's externship program in 2013. That program is ongoing, and another law student currently interns with the Firm.Neal’s lecture focused on the challenges and opportunities facing young medical malpractice lawyers. He gave an overview of important policies behind malpractice cases, as well as insight into the actual process of litigating these types of actions. He also spent time reviewing the many challenges that arise during discovery. Finally, he covered tort reform and changes in the law (i.e., Lavern’s Law) that impact the way that these cases are handled. The Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm is proud to partner with CUNY on this externship program and is delighted to welcome law students to learn the ins and outs of daily practice. The Firm has always believed in strong mentorship programs and the idea that one learns best by doing, and following those who have had many years of experience. The photo above captures Neal and a few of the future attorneys who attended his “Life of a Lawyer” lecture.
